Four focus areas

As Eitwitcampus, we are building on Dr Moons' originally innovative ideas and we stimulate new transitions by using innovations. Firmly rooted from the agricultural angle, but with an eye for cross-pollination between the various focus areas.

Eiwitcampus Beers has four focus areas.

Located in the municipality of Land van Cuijk, Eiwitcampus is situated in the middle of the (green) countryside. Our extensive complex is housed in a functional and purposeful building from the 1980s, then state of the art, as it was one of the first artificial insemination stations for bulls, headed by director Dr Theodorus Johannes Moons. Lateron, it also housed the National Livestock Museum (Nationaal Veeteeld Museum) and the street name was named after the man whose innovation made an early impact - Dr Moons. Eiwitcampus continues his way of working and encourages impact makers in the following focus areas:

Biobased economy

Biobased economy is an important step in the transition to a circular economy. A biobased economy replaces fossil raw materials with biological ones. Crops and waste streams from agri and food, for example, are applied as fuel or used to produce energy, materials and chemicals. At Eiwitcampus Multiphase Dryers is involved in this area as one of our participants.

Circular agriculture

Circular agriculture is based on the principle that all biomass is used optimally within a closed cycle of raw materials, energy and nutrients. Everything used by the agricultural system is replenished from the same system. Agriventures Group sees international trade as a potential mechanism to offset regional imbalances.

Animal and plant protein

Animal and plant proteins are an important part of the human diet. Proteins, along with fats and carbohydrates, form the main components of our diet. However, people are searching for the balance in production and use of animal and vegetable proteins. Besides developing new crops, this requires in-depth knowledge of protein as a building block in the human body. Basic Theory is focused entirely on plant-based fermented foods.

Renewable energy

Humanity can use green sources indefinitely, they do not cause air pollution and do not emit CO2. So there are no negative effects on climate and the environment. Under certain circumstances, this could include biobased energy. Eiwitcampus Beers is affiliated with Zon in Landschap to see how we can deploy solar energy on our campus.
